Game Day

Students that did not claim a ticket through On-Demand Distribution process will have an opportunity to claim one of the minimum 100 tickets that will be available for students on game day.  To claim this ticket you will need to visit the UNI Athletic Ticket Office in person to receive the ticket.

Student Ticket Distribution Guidelines and Policies

1.0       ONLINE STUDENT TICKET DISTRIBUTION PROCESS

1.1             Students register online at http://www.UNIPanthers.com under "UNI Student Tickets" to request tickets to regular season men's basketball home games. [Online registration for the NCAA men's basketball tournament is determined on a game-by-game basis.]

1.1.1       Students' log in initially using their their nine-digit student ID number (000123456) and the password `guest'. After their initial login students will be asked to change their password, so that it is unique to their account.

1.1.1.1            Students who have lost or misplaced their UNI ID or can get a replacement ID at the Department of Residence office in Redeker Center between Rider, Shull, Noehren and Hagemann Halls.

1.1.2       Currently enrolled, Panther Pass paying UNI students are eligible to receive one (1) ticket each of the men's basketball home games.

1.1.2.1            Students at the University of Northern Iowa campus may become eligible to receive tickets for UNI Men's basketball home games by paying the appropriate student athletic fee. For more information Contact the Registrar's office in Maucker Union at (319) 273-2241.

1.2             Students have secure, personal accounts from which to: (a) manage their account information, (b) track their attendance history, (c) view their Loyalty Point total (see 3.0 for details), (d) cancel a previously claimed ticket

1.2.1       Students can elect to receive an automatic email reminder at the beginning of each ticket registration period by checking the "reminder email" button under their Student Status Information on the Student Information page.

1.2.2       By registering for tickets, students consent to receiving emails related to their ticket requests.  Students can elect to opt-out of receiving additional emails regarding athletics events by checking the "disable emails" button under their Student Status Information on the Student Information page. Students will then receive only those emails related to their ticket requests (e.g. email notification of being awarded a ticket, being placed on the waitlist, etc.).

1.3             Student Ticket distribution will take place in one phase over a seven day period.

1.3.1       On-Demand Distribution (All remaining except 100 tickets) - Seven Days Prior to Game

1.3.1.1            Students who desire to attend the game can claim any available tickets during the ticket-on-demand up until the day prior to game day by (a) Accepting their ticket through their UNI student ID card.

1.3.1.2            Students who claim a ticket but later decide not to attend the game for whatever reason must cancel their ticket online no later than 12:00 Noon one day prior to game day.

1.3.2       Game Day Distribution (Minimum 100 tickets available)

1.3.2.1            Following the two-day On-Demand period additional students who desire to attend the game can visit the athletic ticket office to claim any available tickets for the student section.  A hard ticket will be given to the student.  However, a loyalty point can not be earned by receiving a ticket on game day.

2.0       LOYALTY DISTRIBUTION  (Not currently active for distribution)

2.1             Loyalty Distribution is a priority-based system that is initiated only when demand for tickets exceeds supply.

2.2             Students who register for tickets have a ranked entries in the Loyalty Distribution based on the number of Loyalty Points earned by attending previous games and events (see 3.0 for details).  Therefore, students can increase the opportunity to obtain tickets to future games by attending games throughout the Men's Basketball and other designated athletic and campus events.

2.2.1       The first distribution awards 500 tickets in the student ticket allotment in straight loyalty point order, and then awards the remaining ticket allotment (minus 100 for game day distribution) via an On-Demand first-come, first-serve basis.

2.3             The above distribution best should ensure that the most loyal students receive tickets for the most high-profile games, while still providing all students the opportunity to receive tickets to every game since all students pay the student Panther Pass fee.

2.4             Students who are awarded tickets via Loyalty Distribution receive email notification regarding how and by what deadline to claim their tickets.

2.4.1       Students then have one (1) day to claim their ticket by: (a) Accepting their ticket through their UNI Student ID card.

2.4.1.1            Tickets that are awarded but not claimed within two days revert back to the UNI Ticket Office and are awarded to students through the On-Demand process on Days 4 & 5 (see 1.3.2 for details).

2.4.1.2            Following the one-day claim period for Loyalty Distribution, additional students who desire to attend the game can claim any available tickets during the ticket-on-demand period up until one day prior to game day by (a) Accepting their ticket through their UNI student ID card.

2.4.1.3            Students who claim a ticket but later decide not to attend the game for whatever reason must cancel their ticket online no later than 12:00 Noon one day prior to game day.

3.0       EARNING LOYALTY POINTS BY ATTENDING GAMES

3.1             Loyalty Points are awarded based on attendance at home Men's basketball games, which are then tracked via handheld scanners at the southeast student entrance at McLeod Center.

3.1.1       Zero (0) Loyalty Points are earned simply for registering for a student ticket or claiming a student ticket that has been awarded.

3.1.1.2            Scanners remain available at the student entry gates at the McLeod Center until the end of halftime. Students with valid UNI student IDs may still gain admission after these times, but will not earn Loyalty Points for having attended the game.

3.1.3       One (1) Loyalty Point is earned for attending any other select Athletic or campus events.
