The University of Northern Iowa Athletic Department has released the upcoming UNI Golf Tour schedule for 2008. This year's tour will consist of 8 golf events. The Men's Spectacular will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at Beaver Hills Country Club in Cedar Falls while the Women's Spectacular will be Monday, June 30th at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Dike. This year's golf tour also includes dates in Ankeny, Cedar Rapids, Charles City, Mason City, the Quad Cities and Carroll. The 2008 Homecoming Spectacular will be held on Friday, October 12, although this event will no longer be hosted by the Athletic Department. It will now be hosted by the UNI Alumni Association.
The UNI Golf Tour is a series of fundraising and friend raising events supported by the Panther Scholarship Club and the UNI Athletic Department. Events and registrations are open to the public. UNI alumni, Panther Scholarship Club members, season-ticket holders, and anyone interested in Panther Athletics are especially encouraged to attend.
