The University of Northern Iowa's official athletic television home is KFXA-TV (Fox 28).  Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Fox 28 can be seen in much of eastern and northeastern Iowa, including Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Dubuque and Iowa City.

The Panthers have an agreement with Fox 28 through the 2007-08 athletic season.  As part of the arrangement, Fox will produce and televise UNI football, men's basketball and women's basketball games each season, as well as airing coach's shows.

Cedar Falls Utilities and Mediacom cable companies have been great this year in providing great coverage of UNI Athletics.  Check your local cable listings to see when the Panthers are on TV.

WOMEN'S SPORTS COVERAGE

The University of Northern Iowa and KWLO radio (1330 AM, Waterloo) entered into a two-year contract to broadcast UNI women's basketball and volleyball starting in the fall of 2005. All women's basketball games and as many as 14 volleyball matches will be aired, as well as all postseason play by both teams. Announcers for both sports have yet to be determined and will be employed by UNI. KWLO is one of a number of stations owned by the KXEL Broadcasting Company, including KXEL (1540 AM). KXEL is beginning a new five-year agreement to carry UNI football and men's basketball.

"We are proud to add UNI women's basketball and volleyball to our sports broadcasting lineup," said Tim Mathews, KWLO general manager. "UNI volleyball has consistently been a national power in recent years, and UNI women's basketball is coming off one of its best seasons ever. We couldn't be happier to have four UNI major sports programs all on our airwaves."
